所感
私自身は、この海軍軍人を司馬遼太郎の小説「坂の上の雲」を通じて深く知るようになる。書棚には、その全集と戦艦「三笠」の模型が飾られている。小説に基づい
て制作されたドラマの中での印象も残る。ドラマでは渡哲也さんが、その役を演じていた。幾多の経験を通じて、人間的に成長しながら、最終的な結果は因果の法
則に委ねていく心境に達したのかもしれない。良質な一日一日の積み重ねの価値を深く考える。来月、友人と横須賀を訪れ、その雄姿を観る予定である。

Naval officer (Admiral) in the Meiji and Taisho periods
My personal impressions and comments：
I came to know this naval officer in depth through Ryotaro Shiba’s novel
‘Saka no Ue no Kumo’. On my bookshelf, I have a model of the battleship
‘Mikasa’ and the series of novels.
I also have a lasting impression of the drama based on the novel. In the
drama, Tetsuya Watari played the role of the Commander-in-Chief.
Through his many experiences, Togo may have come to the conclusion that all
outcomes are influenced by the laws of justice and integrity.
I think deeply about the value of building up a good day-by-day life. Next
month, I plan to visit Yokosuka with a friend and see the battleship Mikasa.
